ATOC Warranties and Offers

At A Touch of Color Painting, we stand behind our promise. We don’t fill our clients with empty promises we put our guarantees in writing. We are certain that our professional craftsmanship is worthy of backing up with a written warranty.  A Touch of Color guarantees quality that will last. We are a contractor that you simply can’t go wrong with. We have an average rate of 98% in customer referrals, so you can rest assured that when you contract with A Touch of Color, you are in good hands.

General Information

Our warranty terms vary from 0 to 3 years depending on the service provided.  The warranty terms are written within our contracts, so the length of the warranty will always be clear. The number of years offered depends on the task but most importantly, which products and application methods you have contracted. Pre-existing damages or problematic applications are also factors in warranty terms. The warranty goes into effect two days after completion and is over after the contracted term of warranty, as dated on your contract.

Warranty Limitations

We are not responsible for claims that were further affected due to negligence of claim submissions.

If we were contracted to repair or patch, we will not be responsible for future replacements. A patch is only temporary and if the patch fails or is no longer patchable, all expenses for a future replacement may be billed to the homeowner. No patches or temporary fixes are part of the warranty under any conditions, at anytime.

Our warranty is associated with the home, not the home owner. It may be transferred (only once) to any future legal owner/owners at anytime.

As your warranty provider, all warranty work is to be performed by A Touch of Color painting. Our warranties cover all aspects of the work that we complete. This warranty doesn’t cover the expenses of additional contractors or service. We will fix the problem until it is done correctly or as contracted.

A Touch of Color Painting only covers all labor costs and overhead involved with completed warranty work. Any, and all, additional materials needed to successfully complete warranted work will be charged to the current homeowner.

All warranty requests are accepted from the home owner/owners only. No renter or anyone other than the home owner may submit a claim.

If we schedule and confirmed a warranty completion date/time and are not informed of necessary date/time adjustments or rescheduling at least two hours before the scheduled arrival time, there may be a trip charge added.

Voided Warranty Conditions and Parameters

A Touch of Color Painting has the right to void any warranties at any time. Under these conditions we have the right terminate the warranty immediately; including but not limited to:

• Clear evidence of abuse, damage, or neglect to the home (intentional or accidental) that doesn’t clearly reflect a lack of correct craftsmanship.
• Abrasion, mechanical damage, abrasive cleaning, or other damage resulted from the use of chemicals/cleaning agents, exposure to harmful solids/ liquids or gases.

Warranties do not cover any natural disaster, extreme storms, or flooding. The warranty doesn’t cover areas that are remotely already damaged, subject to standing water, areas of high moisture, extreme weather conditions, or any conditions that are outside manufacture’s specifications.

The warranty is only valid under these conditions.

• Retain a copy of the original contract.
• Retain receipts or other evidence of payment in full.
• Pay for all materials used to perform the repairs.
• Must pay full contracted price.
• Make the property accessible for the Contractor and all employees, to conduct any warranty work.

 Warranty Specifics

Any repairs covered under this limited warranty will be performed only on the specific areas and to the level of surface preparations originally described in the preparation section of the Contract. We will conduct warranty work within 30 days after your service request. All warranties cover common cracking, blistering, peeling, missed touchups and overlooked or unfinished areas. Warranties also cover any accidental/incorrect installations or applications. (Only if there is clearly a better way of installation that is not related to cosmetic issues, will we honor the service request. And only if we were originally contracted to complete the task). Any cracks in drywall, plaster, wood, or other like surfaces are not warranted unless we were contracted to fix the area. This limited warranty doesn’t cover conditions where the color or finish has been affected or fades over time.

Our warranty only covers the work that we have completed. It doesn’t protect you from future issues that come with maintaining your home or any manufacturer’s claim or lawsuit. The warranty doesn’t cover any manufacturer's defects with materials supplied by the customer or contractor.

This warranty offers you only specific legal rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty is not valid for any of these areas and may not be altered or extended for any reason unless it has been agreed upon, in writing, by ATOC. In no way shall the contractor/individuals be held liable for incidental or consequential damages. We will not conduct any warranty work that will potentially exceed the original contracted price; however we do take full responsibility for any items damaged on our behalf. Discounts and coupons may not be used with any warranty work, at anytime, for any reason.

For all warranty requests, contact your Contractor to schedule an inspection of your property. All claims must be conducted in writing to A Touch of Color Painting through email or letter with: Job Number, Name, Address, and Contact Info.
